How Does It Work?
U-Sleep allows companies to define specific rules that establish a therapy compliance standard for their organization. U-Sleep will monitor drivers who utilize a PAP device that wirelessly shares device data on a daily basis. U-Sleep sends near real-time notifications via emails, text messages or voice calls when the company specific compliance standard is achieved or violated.
U-Sleep empowers individuals and organizations to achieve compliance standards for continued and effective sleep apnea therapy.

Sleep Apnea
Sleep apnea's impact on driver safety is an important topic in the transportation industry. Untreated sleep apnea can lead to serious health issues including sleep deprivation, weight gain, high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease and stroke. Specifically, chronic sleep deprivation can result in a two to seven fold increased likelihood of vehicular accidents. While various studies have shown that one in three commercial truck drivers have some degree of sleep apnea, only a small portion are tested and treated.

PAP devices are commonly used for the treatment of sleep apnea. Studies have shown that the monitoring of PAP device usage supports regular use and subsequently improves the effectiveness of therapy.
Using U-Sleep, as part of an overall sleep apnea compliance program, will help companies achieve a decrease in absenteeism, accidents, and liability and provide an overall increase in productivity and quality of life for their employees.
